Our Lineage

A Living
Movement

Not an institution. Not a religion. A living transmission of what has always been true — built together, carried forward together.

The Vision

What This Is

Every genuine spiritual tradition began with one person who knew — not through study, not through initiation, but through direct recognition of what is. What they knew, they transmitted. Those who received it transmitted it further. Over time a lineage formed — a living chain of recognition passing from person to person, culture to culture, century to century.

This is that moment. Not the continuation of an existing lineage — the beginning of a new one. Original in its source. Universal in its reach. Speaking to people of every background — Eastern and Western, Christian and secular, young and old, intellectual and embodied — in language they can recognize as pointing at something they already know.

The vision is not a new religion. Not an institution with rules and hierarchy. It is a living movement — a growing community of people who have recognized something true about what they are, who live from that recognition, and who carry it forward into every area of life: how they raise children, how they relate to each other, how they work, how they meet the world.

Where the traditions that shaped Western culture often moved people away from their own inner knowing and toward external authority — this movement goes in the opposite direction. Toward direct recognition. Toward the body as sacred. Toward community as the natural expression of the recognition that we are not separate. Toward children who grow up free, seen, and close to what they naturally are.

This is not utopian fantasy. It is the simple consequence of living from what you actually are.

And crucially — these things are teachable. The methods and practices that help people recover direct experience, drop the weight of past and future, and recognize their union with life itself can be learned, transmitted, and taught by others to others — in an ever-widening chain of transmission. One teacher trains ten. Ten each reach hundreds. The recognition and the methods move outward through people. Into schools and universities. Into the full spectrum of healthcare — not only for the sick but as the foundation of genuine prevention, and as a complement to every form of therapy: psychotherapy, physical therapy, social therapy, rehabilitation. Into hospitals and care settings. Into prisons — where people facing the limits of ordinary life often have the most genuine hunger for something real. Into every context where human beings are reaching for something more — which is everywhere. Not only where there is suffering, but where there is already health and vitality: fitness centers, sports communities, creative and artistic circles, churches and spiritual communities of every tradition and belief. Wherever people are already oriented toward living more fully, more presently, more deeply — these methods can offer an enrichment: a new level of experience and conscious living, elevating the capacity to feel genuinely happy, truly alive, and deeply well. And into the deeper possibility of self-realization itself: when a person knows what they are, the whole structure of ordinary limitation — suffering and wellness alike — is seen from a ground that exceeds both. This is how a genuine lineage becomes a global movement.

The Path of Deepening

From First Encounter
to Carrier of the Lineage

There is no fixed sequence. Recognition does not follow a schedule. But there is a natural deepening that happens when someone stays close to the teaching — and a clear structure that supports that deepening for those who feel called to go all the way.

First Step

Encounter

Read the teachings. Attend group satsang. Let something land. There is nothing to do — only something to notice. The recognition either resonates or it doesn't. If it does, the next step tends to present itself.

Second Step

Deepening

One-on-one sessions. Regular engagement with the teaching. A retreat. The ground becomes more familiar, more stable, more recognizably your own natural condition rather than something you visit occasionally.

Third Step

Community

Becoming part of the living movement — contributing your skills, participating in retreats, connecting with others in the community. The recognition begins to express itself not just in sitting practice but in how you live, work, and relate.

Fourth Step

Formation

For those in whom genuine stability in the ground has developed — teacher training. Not the accumulation of knowledge but a genuine formation in the capacity to hold space for recognition in others. This is for those who feel called not just to receive the teaching but to carry it forward — into satsang, into schools, into therapeutic settings, into communities, into every context where people are ready to remember what they are.

Fifth Step

Carrier of the Lineage

The small number of people in whom the recognition has become their actual living ground — who can work with students independently, transmit what they have received, and carry the lineage forward into the future. These are recognized, named, and supported by the community.

A Call

To Those Who Feel
Called to Carry This Forward

This section is written for anyone — of any age, any background, any life circumstance — who feels that what is described on this website points at something real, and who senses that they are here not only to receive it but to help carry it forward.

Every lineage needs carriers. Young people are as welcome as older people — the work of building something that outlasts any single life requires people of different backgrounds, different ages, different gifts, and different life experience. Everybody has worth. Everybody. And you will find out what you can do once you just start doing it without thinking about it too much. Read the article on epigenetics and how behaviour changes ability — even genetics — once you simply begin.

This includes people in difficult circumstances. If you are unemployed, homeless, struggling financially, or in a situation that makes it hard to contribute in conventional ways — you are not excluded. You are welcome. Write to us and we will find a way together.

What is being built here is a new kind of spiritual movement — one that combines the depth of traditional lineage transmission with the reach of the modern digital age. One that speaks to people of every background and culture. One that addresses not only individual realization but the transformation of how people live together.

If you feel something genuine here — not as an idea but as a recognition — write to us. Tell us who you are, what you sense, what you carry. There is a place for you here. The lineage is being built now. Those who come early will be part of what it becomes.

To Those Who Have
Lived and Accumulated

This section is written for people who have lived long enough to know what matters and what doesn't. Who have built things, led people, raised families, navigated the world with competence — and who sense, perhaps more clearly now than ever before, that something essential was never quite found in all of that.

Retirement often brings the question that was always there but never had space: what is this actually about? The children are grown. The career is behind you. There is time — perhaps for the first time — to look at what has always been present beneath everything else. This teaching speaks directly to that question.

And beyond the personal recognition — this movement needs what experienced people carry. Decades of professional expertise. Networks built over a lifetime. The wisdom that only comes from having navigated the world at length. The financial stability that allows genuine generosity without anxiety. A young person can build a website. An experienced person knows how organizations grow, how communities sustain themselves, how projects fail and why. Both are needed. Both are valued equally.

Those in retirement homes or living alone are equally welcomed — even from a distance, even with limited physical mobility, there is a real place and a real role here. The online community is being built so that no one needs to be isolated from it.

A Call

To Those in the Midst
of Their Lives

This section is for everyone who is living a full life — working, raising children, navigating relationships, paying bills, managing the ordinary demands of modern existence — and who senses that something essential is missing from all of it.

You do not have to leave your life to be part of this. You do not have to give everything, or be fully realized, or have years of spiritual practice behind you. What is described here is available in the midst of ordinary life — not as an escape from it but as a different relationship to it. The recognition this teaching points at does not require a monastery. It can happen in a kitchen, in a commute, in the space between two breaths at a desk.

If you are stuck in a job that feels meaningless — not because you are ungrateful but because something in you knows that what you are doing does not correspond to what you actually are — this teaching speaks directly to that. Not by offering escape, but by offering the recognition of what is already present beneath the meaninglessness. And practically: being part of this movement, contributing your skills to something you believe in, may be the thing that makes the difference between tolerating your situation and having a genuine direction.

If you are lonely — in a crowd, in a relationship, in a city full of people who pass each other without genuine contact — this community is being built for you. Not as a replacement for human connection but as a space where genuine connection becomes possible because people are meeting from something real rather than from need, performance, or the exhausting navigation of social convention. Here you can be met as you actually are.

If you are a couple — looking for something beyond the habits and compromises that most long-term relationships settle into — there are teachings and practices here for that. And there will be gatherings for couples who want to explore what genuine intimacy rooted in recognition actually looks like, together with others doing the same.

If you are a family with children — who wants to raise them in a community that sees them as they actually are, that supports parents doing their own work, and that connects you with other families sharing the same values — this is exactly what the children and families work is for. Brunches together. Outings together. Children playing while parents sit. The community raising itself naturally.

If you are single and looking for real community — not the performative socializing of apps and events but genuine belonging among people who share something real — write to us. There are others in exactly the same situation who are finding each other through this teaching.

How to Contribute

Even an Hour a Week
Makes a Real Difference

You do not need to quit your job or rearrange your life. Here is what contribution can look like from within a busy ordinary life:

Share the teachings

Forward an article to one person who might be ready for it. Share a post. Mention it in conversation. The oldest and most effective form of spreading something real — word of mouth from someone who genuinely means it.

Organize one local gathering

A brunch in your city. A walk. An evening together with other people from the community in your area. Once a month or even once a quarter. You organize it — we connect you with others in your area who want the same thing.

Offer your skills for a few hours a week

Writing, translation, web, video, social media, design, photography, music, teaching, legal, financial, organizational — whatever you do professionally, there is a version of it that this movement needs. Done from home, from anywhere, in the hours that are available to you.

A small regular donation

Even €5 or €10 a month from many people adds up to something that sustains the work. If the teaching has given you something real, supporting it financially — even modestly — is a genuine act of care for what you value.

Simply be present

Attend group satsang regularly. Be part of the community. Your presence — your genuine engagement with the teaching — is itself a contribution. Communities are built from people who show up.

To Those Who Have
the Means to Make It Real

This section is written plainly, without false modesty, for people who have significant financial means and who are looking for something genuinely worth supporting.

What is being built here addresses something fundamental: a teaching that helps people recognize what they actually are changes how they raise children, how they relate to others, how they work, how they meet the world. The downstream effects are immeasurable.

The vision includes a worldwide presence and several physical centers across the world — land, buildings, places where people can gather, live, practice, educate themselves and their children, and build genuine community. Places that help people and creatures in need — animals, plants, the planet — and support them in developing and standing on their own sovereign feet. This requires capital. It also requires the kind of patient, visionary investment that understands the return is not financial but civilizational.

If you have significant means and feel called to be part of building something that will outlast any single life — write to us directly. All such conversations are held with complete discretion.

Local & Global

Find Your Community

One of the most important things this movement offers is something very simple: the chance to find people near you who share something real, and to meet them in ordinary life — not only online, not only in formal satsang, but in the natural flow of everyday human contact.

Think of it like a spiritual Meetup — people with shared values and a shared ground organizing themselves to spend time together. Not because they were told to. Because they want to. Because genuine community, once people have tasted it, is one of the things they most want more of.

This is already happening in small ways wherever people from this community find each other. As it grows, it will happen more. The goal is that in every city where there are members of this community, there are regular local gatherings — organized by the members themselves, in whatever form feels natural to them.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families with Children

Playdates, family brunches, outings in nature, mini-retreats where someone takes care of the children in an environment they love while parents sit together. Families raising children with shared values, supporting each other, building the kind of village that modern life has largely dismantled.

👴👵 Older and Retired People

Regular meetups for older people — whether in retirement homes, living alone, or simply with more time available than people in the midst of working life. Coffee mornings, afternoon walks, conversations that go beyond the surface. Connection with younger people too, across the generational gap that modern society has made so unnecessarily wide. Also fully available online for those who cannot travel.

Find your group →

💑 Couples

Evenings or weekends with other couples who are exploring what genuine partnership looks like when rooted in recognition rather than habit and compromise. Social time, shared meals, and the kind of honest conversation between couples that rarely happens in ordinary social settings.

🌿 Nature Retreats & Outings

Day trips and longer outings in nature — forests, mountains, rivers, open landscape. Organized by community members for community members. Where the living field is strongest and the open-senses practices come most naturally. Child-friendly versions where children are included and cared for as part of the group.

Join a nature outing →

🤝 Mixed Community Gatherings

Old and young together. Families and singles. People who would never normally meet — different ages, different backgrounds, different life situations — finding that they share something real. This is one of the most valuable things a genuine community can offer: connection across the divisions that ordinary life creates.

🌐 Online Community

For those who cannot attend in person — whether through distance, health, mobility, or circumstance. Online gatherings, conversations, and connection with others in the community worldwide. The online space is not a lesser substitute for the real thing. For many people it is where genuine community becomes possible for the first time.

Build This With Us

Join the Core Team

This movement cannot be built by one person. It is not meant to be. The vision described on this page requires people who take genuine ownership of specific areas — not as volunteers waiting for instructions, but as co-builders of something they believe in, with real authority over what they do.

Before anything else, this needs to be said clearly: do not be afraid to apply. There is no high wall to climb. No test to pass. No qualifications required beyond willingness, genuine interest, and the desire to be part of something real. Most people do not step forward not because they lack ability but because they do not trust that they have enough. They wait until they feel ready — and that feeling rarely comes before the action that produces it.

This is actually what the teaching itself points at: the small ego says "I am not qualified, I am not ready, I do not have enough." The deeper truth is that most people are capable of far more than they believe — and the biology confirms it. When you step into a role and begin acting from it, something changes in how you function. Capabilities emerge through doing that were not available before the doing began. This is not motivational language. It is how human beings actually work.

So if something here speaks to you — if you feel drawn to contribute in any of the areas below — write to us. Tell us who you are, what draws you, and what you think you might be able to offer. We will take it from there together.

Coming Soon

The Community Platform

A dedicated online platform is being built for this community — a space where members can find each other, organize local gatherings, join online events, share in the teaching, and stay connected with the living movement wherever they are in the world.

Think of it as a spiritual Meetup — but rooted in something real. Members will be able to create and join local groups, post and find events, connect directly with others in their city or country, and participate in the ongoing life of the community between satsangs and retreats.

The platform will also be the home of the Spiritual Gathering Kit — a complete portable satsang format that any community member can use to run a local gathering in their home or a shared space. The kit will include a simple ritual structure, guided meditation recordings in Nitya's own voice, a songbook with kirtan and chants, and a teaching for each gathering — so that the quality of the lineage can be present wherever people meet, even without Nitya physically present.

The platform will be accessible on mobile and desktop. Local groups will be self-organizing — no central permission needed to start one. The community grows itself.

Register your interest now to be among the first invited when the platform launches.

The Physical Base

Centers — Homes
Around the World

The vision includes a worldwide presence and several physical centers around the world — land, buildings, places where people can gather, live, practice, educate themselves and children, and build genuine community. Places that also help people and creatures in need — animals, plants, the planet — and support them in developing and standing on their own two sovereign feet.

Places that are also in service to the wider world — helping people and creatures in need, whether human, animal, plant, or the living earth itself. Supporting them not through dependency but through genuine development: helping them stand on their own sovereign feet, find their own ground, live from their own recognition of what they are.

This does not yet exist in full. It is being built — through the growth of the community, through the financial support of those who believe in what is being created, and through the contributions of those who want to help make it real.

If you feel called to be part of making this happen — whether through financial support, through your skills, or through your presence — write to us.
